Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s final budget signing ceremony resulted in major cuts to state spending, including $80 million to primary healthcare agencies, $15.2 million to family and child welfare, and $300 million in total vetoes, to help manage a $1.3 billion shortfall in the state’s 2028 budget.
